Homeowners have choices. They can go to their lender and hope that the information that they provide put them within the 5% of those who get approved. Non – Profits are also alternative.  Most people have found them to be overloaded, slow to respond and unmotivated. Then there are the paid for models, Attorneys and Modification Processing companies. Not only are these very expensive alternatives, they are inefficient. With all the levels of management there is bound to be a loss in communication.  Getting a simple updated pay stub will typically go like this.  The lender requests a pay stub from the person handling the negotiations who then asks a processing manager who in turn asks a sales person and finally the request goes to the homeowner.
